A Night of Insightful Discoveries at Inside Research

Yesterday, „Inside Research“ featured captivating presentations by PhD candidates Anna Schulze Tilling and Dominik Damast, who recently secured assistant professorships in Glasgow and Rome.

Anna Schulze Tilling’s research on sustainable behavior, particularly her study on the carbon label traffic light system at Hofgartenmensa, highlighted innovative approaches to promoting environmental awareness. She provided detailed insights into her research methodology, discussing the various ways consumer behavior could be observed and the potential impacts on study outcomes. Her engaging talk ignited lively discussions during the Q&A session, demonstrating the audience’s keen interest in sustainable practices.

Dominik Damast presented his research on the determinants of insurer´s investment in finance bonds. His analysis of the intermediation functions of banks and insurers was particularly noteworthy, making complex financial concepts accessible and relatable. Dominik’s illustration of risk mitigation before and after a regulatory change in the US brought his economic research to life, offering tangible examples that resonated with the audience.

The evening concluded with a barbecue in the Juridicum courtyard, providing a relaxed setting for further conversations and networking. „Inside Research,“ a successful event jointly organized by the Alumni and Support Association and the Student Council, effectively bridged academic research with a diverse audience of bachelor and master students, creating a memorable and enriching experience for all attendees.
